The city of Kota Kinabalu is your gateway to Borneo. It is easily accessible by Malaysia Airlines from London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, New York, and Los Angeles (with easy add-on flights from all US cities).

If flying to Tawau, Sandakan, or Layang Layang or any other location, you may be required to spend the first and last nights of your stay in Kota Kinabalu because of the boat times to and from each resort. We offer pre and post package hotel stays in Kota Kinabalu. . Please refer to Reservations for options for pre or post night hotel stay.

Semporna is a transit point for Sipadan Water Village Resort, passengers embarking or disembarking from boat transfers between mainland and the resort. This office, located by the jetty at Jalan Kastam, Semporna, co-ordinates boat transfers movement between the head office and the resort.

Please note that arrival after 1600hrs in Tawau will be too late for boat transfers to resort and is not advisable due to safety reasons. An overnight stay may be required in Tawau and we will arrange pick up the following morning, or depending on arrival time in Tawau, we can transfer directly to Semporna with overnight stay there and boat transfer the following morning. Transfer pick up can only be arranged from Tawau or Semporna however drop off services can be arranged for an extra fee to other locations e.g. Sukau or Sandakan.
